Ricardo Alamino

Senior full-stack engineer · AI-native builder

I ship products end to end — architecture, code and operations. 26+ years: co-founded one of Brazil’s leading wealth-management fintechs, then designed, built, sold and operated my own B2B SaaS with paying clients. AI-native workflow: I architect and review, agents execute — roughly 3× throughput without sacrificing quality. Async by default.

Founder & Engineer

Bookalyze

BI platform for short-term rental management with paying B2B clients (property management companies). Designed, built, sold and operated solo, end to end.

  • Full-stack product: Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Metabase dashboards
  • Deep integrations with channel managers (Stays, Hostaway) — bookings, revenue, occupancy and pricing pipelines
  • Investor-facing financial reporting (“Portal do Investidor”) that replaced hours of monthly owner-statement work
  • Solo operation: architecture, infra, CI/CD, support and sales

Next.js · Node.js · PostgreSQL · Metabase · REST / Webhooks

Co-founder & Engineer

Gorila

One of Brazil’s leading wealth-management fintechs (portfolio consolidation). Joined early, went from engineer to co-founder, and owned frontend, mobile and support over seven years.

  • Chose React Native to ship iOS + Android with the existing web team: both apps live in 6 months, 100k+ downloads
  • As support director, cut average ticket resolution from ~7 days to ~2 — rebuilt support as a systems problem (Jira routing, ownership, SLA, technical triage)
  • As frontend PO, led the design system initiative, secured training budget and mentored juniors — near-zero voluntary turnover

Async by default

Remote and independent for years — own product, clients, no manager, no standups. Decisions in writing, documented context, self-unblocking. What I look for isn’t company; it’s scale of impact.

Validate before building

After shipping products nobody asked for, I formalized a rule: no hypothesis gets code before a 7-day validation funnel. It’s killed more of my ideas than it has approved — which is exactly the point.

AI as a thinking tool, not a shortcut

I architect, review and own the outcome; agents execute. A background in psychoanalysis informs product and UX thinking — how people actually decide, not how we wish they did.
